Healthy Community Zones Initiative Broward County Fl

A Day for Women’s Health May 19

TOUCH Broward - Partnerships Transforming Our Community's Health

Put your health first and join others at Broward Health Imperial Point on Saturday, May 19, for a day of informational sessions on treatable health issues just for women.

The event features educational sessions, blood pressure checks, a healthy cooking demonstration and giveaways to attendees. Abigail Fortey, the Marketing and Physician Relations Regional Manager for Broward Health, says that while these sessions are offered frequently at different Broward Health locations, having a day set aside to cover them all was necessary.

“We educate with our monthly lecture series, but with the da Vinci surgical representatives visiting, we wanted to bring attention to their cause.”

da Vinci surgery is self-described as “the most effective, least invasive surgical treatment” available today.

Featuring local doctors in specialized areas like interventional radiology, gynecology, urology and family practice, sessions will touch on topics such as osteoporosis, talking with your OB/GYN, gynecologic cancers, and endometriosis. The event is free and open to the public, but an RSVP is required. Please click here to reserve your space. Click here to add to your calendar.
