Community Assets and Opportunities:

The Healthy Community Zone designation is an opportunity to build upon the priorities outlined by both the Central County Community Advisory Board and the Urban Land Institute’s Technical Advisory Panel report and build safer, healthier neighborhoods.  Key assets in the area are the Neighborhood Parks (Delevoe, Franklin Park, Roosevelt Gardens Park, and Lafayette Park), BSO Central Office, The Urban League, African American Research Library, Dillard High School, and the Edgar Mills Family Success Center.  6,200 residents live in these four communities and many are long-time residents and share a deep sense of neighborhood pride.BMSD FINALBMSD FINAL
