The Healthy Community Zone designation is an opportunity to build upon the priorities outlined by the Community Redevelopment Agency’s Healthy Living Initiative, which will merge with the boarder Lauderdale Lakes Healthy Community Zone and their existing rich assets such as the Children’s Garden, Multi-Purpose Building and programming, Teen Center, Community Garden Club, Canal 13 Greenway Trail, Park Lakes Elementary, Boyd Anderson High School, Lauderdale Lakes Middle School, Education Cultural Center, and more. The population to be served by this HCZ is 34,062 residents.
